Maple Syrup Festival
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- It's sticky and sweet and goes great with pancakes. It was also all the rage at the Indian Creek Nature Center on Sunday as it was Maple Syrup Festival.
Attendees were able to learn about the maple syrup making process.
People with the center say the Maple trees produce more sap when the weather is warmer. The center produces over 2,000 gallons of sap each year. They say it takes 40 gallons of sap to produce just a single gallon of maple syrup.
