Arrest Made in Iowa City Shooting

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Iowa City Police have identified and issued arrest warrants for four individuals involved in the March 7th shooting at 2608 Bartelt Road in Iowa City during which a young adult female suffered a serious gunshot injury.

On March 14th, 20 year old Devasier Jontees Cungtion of Cedar Rapids was arrested by Cedar Rapids Police on Iowa City warrants charging him with Intimidation With a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony) and Reckless Use of a Firearm (Class C Felony).

Additional warrants have been issued for the following individuals who are not yet in custody:

Gage Michael Rupp, male/white, 19, 5'10", 200#., Cedar Rapids, 2 warrants:
Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony)
Reckless Use of a Firearm (Class C Felony)

Travonte Derrane Hughes, male/black, 19, 5'9", 153#, Cedar Rapids, 2 warrants:
Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony)
Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon (Aggravated Misdemeanor)

Dimione Jamal Walker, male/black, 20, 6'2", 191#, Iowa City, 2 warrants:
Intimidation With a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony)
Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon (Aggravated Misdemeanor)

The investigation into this incident continues and it is possible that there will be additional charges.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the location of the wanted individuals is encouraged to contact the Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). The Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of these suspects. All calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed. Individuals providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.

As with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
