Farm Progress Exhibit

MARION, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- It's the story of Iowa's history at the Marion Heritage Center.

The Farm Progress Exhibit shows a timeline of farming in Iowa, from the Native Americans and early settlers, to the massive machinery and farming technology of today.

Organizers of the exhibit say there's always something new to learn about when it comes to Iowa's agricultural history.

"From young to old, you'd be amazed," organizer, Lynnette Brenzel said. "There's always something here that will spark your memory from your childhood or stories you heard from your grandparents or other folks in your family. It's a wonderful display."

The Farm Progress Exhibit also highlights Iowa's century farms and the history of the Linn County corn picking contest as well as the role of 4-H.
