New Poll Shows Who Iowans Favor in 2016

DES MOINES (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- A little less than two years remain until the 2016 Iowa Caucuses, but many Iowans already have their preferences as the candidates they would like to see run for the Oval Office.

In a poll conducted by the Des Moines Register, democrat Hillary Clinton and republican Paul Ryan each lead their respective parties as the candidates Iowans would like to see on the ballot.

88-percent of democrats said they would like to Clinton make a run, while 67-percent of republicans say they would like to see Ryan give it a shot. Former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, came in at a close second for republicans. He pulled in 65-percent.
