Swisher Elects New Mayor In Special Election

SWISHER (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Christopher Taylor will serve as the new Mayor of Swisher. Taylor defeated Randy Hulbert in a special election Tuesday.

Taylor received 151 votes (53%) to Hulbert's 136 votes (47%). There was one write-in vote (less than 1%).

The special election was held after the town's former mayor, Tim Mason resigned during a city council meeting, following several heated meetings. Swisher's city clerk, Connie Meier, also resigned at the meeting.
