ICCSD Looking to Cut $3.6 Mil.
IOWA CITY (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Iowa City School officials say the district will need to cut $3.6 million from their budget.
The cuts are needed to prevent the district's unspent balance ration from falling below zero. The cuts would come from the districts personnel and operational budget.
Officials say they plan to cut most of the spending by not filling positions left open by staff members who are either retiring or resigning at the end of the current school year.
District officials will make their decision within the next six week.
