Linn Co. School Districts Vote On Public Measures

LINN COUNTY (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- One Linn County school district will be getting more funding from a tax levy, while another will not.

Voters in the North Linn Community School District on Tuesday defeated a public bond measure (58% NO, 42% YES). The measure would have meant a 10-year property tax levy of $1.34 per $1,000 of assessed value.

But voters in the Central City Community School District passed their bond measure (57% YES, 43% NO). The Central City measure proposed the same 10-year property tax levy of $1.34 per $1,000 of assessed value.
