Pollock Painting to Return to Iowa City

IOWA CITY (AP) - A painting by famed artist, Jackson Pollock, will return to the University of Iowa Museum of Art.

"Mural" was removed from the museum after it flooded in 2008 and has been undergoing restoration in Los Angeles since 2012.

Once restoration is complete, the 70-year-old piece will go on display at J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. It will then travel to Sioux City for a 10-month display.

The painting will make its return to Iowa City once a new space is built for the university's 14,000 piece art collection.
