Fire Destroys Home Near Wyoming

WYOMING, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- It was not an easy trip to a destructive fire in Jones County.  Firefighters were called to a burning home around 5:40am Thursday morning.  Two units arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.  Investigators have not determined the cause but Wyoming's fire chief tells CBS 2 News that the homeowner was using space heaters before the fire broke out.  No one was hurt in the fire, but some first responders did not make it to the scene.
While responding to the call, a fire truck slid on what the fire chief described as 100% ice covered gravel roads, tipping over onto its side into the ditch.  A second unit also became stuck while trying to assist the first crew because of icy conditions.
