Gov. Branstad Celebrated MLK Day

Governor Terry Branstad marked Martin Luther King Junior Day by asking Iowans to help each other.
Branstad signed the annual Martin Luther King Junior Day Proclamation this morning (January 20th).
He says now is the time to remember the civil rights icon and use our own effort to make sure his message continues to spread.
"Remember the great example he set but also be inspired to march forward and see what kind of impact his legacy can have on our lives and the lives of everyone in this country," said Branstad.
