Marion Debating Urban Chickens

MARION (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
The Marion City Council will hold a public hearing on January 23rd in the Marion City Hall.
Members will gather input on a proposed ordinance to allow residents in certain neighborhoods within city limits to raise up to six hens.
The ordinance, similar to the one in Cedar Rapids, would require notification of all neighbors and require the applicant to take a special class.
Anyone interested in commenting on the issue is asked to attend the meeting or send a letter to the city hall.  Meeting details are as follows:

January 23rd at 7:00pm
Marion City Hall
1225 Sixth Ave.
Marion, IA 52302
