Two Cases of Shots Fired In Waterloo

WATERLOO, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Waterloo Police Officers are investigating a shots fired case in the area of Elmwood and Western. When officers arrived around 2:30 this morning, they saw a subject running toward Sherwood Court Apartments. When they got closer, they saw the subject was armed with a handgun. 23-year-old Ted Scott Jr. was charged with Possession of Weapons by a Felon and Carrying Weapons. No injuries reported.
Then around 4 A.M., another case of shots fired was reported in the area of 425 Randall St. Officers say the house at that address was hit twice. No one was injured. Officers are still investigating the incident and no arrests have been made. The Waterloo Police say they arent sure if the two cases are related.
