Nonprofits Closer to Renovation Fundraising Goal

   The Community Foundation's first ever "impact grant" is helping a local group of nonprofit organizations pay for renovations.
   The Lillig Community Impact Grant was donated by the Community Foundation of Johnson County to 1105 Project organizers.
   The $35,000 grant brings the project's total to $737,000 toward its goal of $1.23 million.
   The money is going toward renovating and furnishing the county's former public health building at 1105 Gilbert Court in Iowa City.
   the Free Lunch Program, Domestic Violence Intervention Program, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Crisis Center of Johnson County will share the building once it is complete.
