Power Restored After Late-Night Outage

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) -- Power has been restored to about 9,100 Alliant Energy customers in Marshall County.
Alliant spokesman Justin Foss says 200 customers in Tama County also lost power around 10 p.m. Thursday. Foss says outages were caused by an equipment failure at a substation near the Sutherland Generating Station.
Alliant's website shows no outages in either county as of 6:30 a.m. Friday.
