Prosecution Rests in Murder Trial

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28)The prosecution rested today in the first degree murder trial of Brandon Brown.

He is accused of gunning down Donell Lindsey in Iowa City last year.

In the three hours court was in session today four witnesses took the stand.

The defense called Brett Kriz. He is a friend of the suspect's late cousin.

A witness last week said she and brown's cousin took a shoe box full of weapons to Kriz's after taking brown himself to Chicago.

When asked to clarify - Kriz pleaded the fifth.

A forensic pathologist testified that there were five gunshot wounds on the Lindseys body, and one of them caused major damage.

The defense plans to call two witnesses tomorrow, one of them Brandon Brown's mother.
