The Cedar Rapids Science Center Celebrates Comet Event

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) --The sun vaporized and absorbed Comet Ison, but that didn't stop The Cedar Rapids Science Center from having a little fun.
They held a comet event this morning to educate kids on what happened to the comet and why.
This event comes before another comet day on December 7th where the center will premier their mini dome.
The comet was expected to make a spectacular show in the night sky before it was destroyed.
But center educators say this is still a great excuse to learn and have fun.
