Witnesses tell CBS 2 he went into convulsions after hitting his head. Trainers worked with him until an ambulance could get him to the hospital. CBS 2 Sports Director Jared Aarons says he was alert when he was loaded into the vehicle. Both teams agreed to suspend the game.
On his Twitter account last night, Chanter sent a message to his family and friends: "Wanted to let everyone know I'm awake and okay. Thank you so much for all your thoughts (&) prayers. Nothing compares to the hockey community."
The USHL and the teams will announce a make-up date for Saturday's game soon.
