St. Luke's Gets New Helicopter

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- A St. Luke's emergency service is getting an upgrade today.
     The new lifeguard helicopter is thanks to a  partner-ship with Med Trans Corporation.
    The hospital's goal is to provide  24 hour air ambulance service.
       That means better care for  patients and faster emergency response.
    As a part of the new agreement, the hospital's 1997 helicopter has been replaced with a brand new model.
    In the 32 years the life-guard air ambulance has been in service at St. Luke's, it's has flown more than 7,500 flights.
