Michigan Man Arrested for Creating a Party Spot in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- A Michigan man has been accused of breaking into an Iowa City apartment and turning it into a party spot.
Iowa City police say 22-year-old Fazal A. Choudhury, of Hamtramck, Mich., was arrested Friday.
Choudhury is accused of gaining access to an apartment on the city's southeast side in June and stealing items worth thousands of dollars. Police say Choudhury turned the apartment into a party spot, but additional information was not released. He allegedly fled before authorities arrived at the scene.
Choudhury has been charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft, as well as one count of possession of a controlled substance. A message for his attorney was not immediately returned Monday.
