Governor Branstad Waiting for DOT on Passenger Train

DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Governor is considering returning more than $50 million designated for passenger train service through Iowa City.
    The state received the funds from the Federal Railroad Administration in 2010.
           The Governor says he'll wait for a recommendation from the Iowa Department of Transportation before making a final decision.
    DOT officials are currently working on a study for passenger rail service between Chicago and Omaha.
    The DOT says the study is getting closer to being finished -- but its unsure whether it will be done before the state legislature reconvenes in January.
