Navy Admiral Demoted For Iowa Gambling Scheme

WASHINGTON (CBS 2/FOX 28) - The second-in-command of US nuclear forces is forced out, after a counterfeiting scheme at an Iowa casino.  The Associated Press reportes Vice Adm. Tim Giardina is now removed from that position.

Giardina is accused of using fake casino chips at the casino near his base in eastern Nebraska.  Both Iowa and NCIS are investigating the case.

The Navy says he will be reassigned, based on the outcome of the investigation.
