Linn County Election Results

LINN COUNTY (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Linn County voters said "No" to doubling the Cedar Rapids School's building levy Tuesday.

The Cedar Rapids School District asked for the money because officials say the buildings are in need of some major repairs.

The move was defeated 57% to 43%.

At the same time, Linn County voters decided to keep a tax levy that benefits Kirkwood Community College. The vote was 57% yes to 42% no.

That levy has been in place for 30 years, and shows up on the ballot every 10 years.
