Inmate Escapes From Waterloo Facility

BLACK HAWK COUNTY (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Authorities in Black Hawk County are looking for an inmate who escaped Monday from the Waterloo Work Release Facility.

Officials tell CBS 2/FOX 28 that 20-year-old Lloyd James Allen III did not return to the facility after an authorized temporary leave. Allen is currently serving a 10-year sentence for charges of willful injury causing serious injury and intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

Allen is African-American with black hair, brown eyes, six feet tall, weighing 218 pounds. He also has a tattoo on his left forearm.
