Deputies Search for Dunkerton Student

DUNKERTON (CBS 2/FOX 28) - The Black Hawk County Attorney's office issued an arrest warrant on a variety of weapons charges Friday for an 18 year old Dunkerton student.

Mid-day Friday the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office received the warrant for 18 year old Maryo D. Lindsey - but they can't find him.

On August 30th Lindsey, a Dunkerton High School football player, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. While there, officials found a loaded handgun in his gym bag.

Lindsey was treated and released, and hasn't been seen since.

Now he's been charged with Possession of Weapons as a Felon, Carrying a Weapon on School Grounds, Carrying Weapons and Possession of Marijuana.

Court records show he was arrested in 2012 on other weapons charges, some of which were dismissed.

Lindsey has subsequently been suspended from school.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Cedar valley Crime Stoppers at 855-300-8477.
