Jindal Tests Iowa GOP Primary Waters

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Gov. Bobby Jindal is heading to the pivotal presidential primary state of Iowa on Saturday.

The possible 2016 presidential candidate will attend a fundraiser for Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and the annual summer party of big-ticket Republican donor Bruce Rastetter.

Jindal spokesman Sean Lansing said after that, the GOP governor will head to Milwaukee, Wis., for events with the Republican Governors Association. Jindal is chairman of the RGA.

Lansing said the governor will return to Baton Rouge on Sunday and will be skipping the National Governors Association summer meeting, even though it is being held this weekend in Milwaukee as well.
