New Security For Prairie Schools

CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Prairie Schools is making the schools more secure for the coming school year.

   In a letter to parents, Superintendent John Speer says the school buildings will be locked up during the day. This new security camera and buzzer system will greet visitors at the main entrance of the buildings.

  The change comes after consulting with Cedar Rapids police officers about making the schools safer.
