Center Pt. Hog Project Closer to Approval

CENTER POINT, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued a draft permit to a controversial hog confinement project near Center Point.
An application for the facility that would house thousands of hogs was filed by Matt Ditch.  The DNR had until today to complete a feasibility study on the proposal.
Upon completion, the agency issued the draft permit.  That doesn't mean construction can begin, but it start a two week appeal period before final approval can be issued.
