Six Hurt In I-380 Crash

NEAR GILBERTVILLE (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Six people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on I-380 in Black Hawk County.

A large truck was northbound on 380 when the driver slowed for traffic in the construction zone, and an ambulance failed to slow down, and rear ended the truck. A motorcycle then tried to avoid the crash and lost control, throwing both the driver and the passenger off the bike.

Five of the injured people were taken to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, including a 70-year-old woman, who had to be transported by helicopter. There's no word yet on the extent of any of their injuries. The Iowa State Patrol reports the following people were all hurt in the crash:

67-year-old Stephen Francis Yuhase, Chesterfield, MI
42-year-old Jason Lee Allan, Tiffin
82-year-old Daisy Nielson, Waterloo
