Man Accused in Roundtree Murder Pleads Guilty

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - One of the men police say was involved in the shooting of 19-year-old Latasha Roundtree has pled guilty.

20-year-old Liban Muhidin pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit a Forcible Felony, which could carry a sentence of up to ten years.

Investigators say he worked with four others to arm themselves and shoot at a vehicle they knew was coming to a party.

Latasha Roundtree was a passenger in the car and was killed.

Four other men have been charged in connection with her death.

Part of Muhidin's plea deal is that he will have to testify against them.

Three face multiple charges including 1st Degree Murder. One is charged with intimidation with dangerous weapon.

If Muhidin cooperates in testifying against the other men, he could have some other lesser charges dropped.

His sentencing is scheduled for September 10th, pending the other trials.
