Murder Suspect Held on $2 Million Bond

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- A Cedar Rapids man is behind bars on $2 million dollars bond after police say he stabbed a man to death.  39-year-old Stephen Jerred Johnson is accused of 1st Degree Murder in the death of Clifton West.
   West was found in an alley by police on June 25th in the 1500 block alley between 5th and 6th Avenue SE.  He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.  Johnson was arrested on Monday.
   In his initial court appearance, Johnson did not enter a plea.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 12th.
