Iowa City Pool Closed in August

IOWA CITY (CBS 2/FOX 28) --
   The Mercer Park pool and spa, located in the Mercer Park Aquatic Center, will be closed for cleaning and minor repair work Saturday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013. The fitness room, meeting rooms and Scanlon Gymnasium will remain open and follow their regular schedules.
   Both arthritis aquatic classes will be temporarily moved to Robert A. Recreation Center at 9am, Monday-Friday. The aquacise class that takes place at 9 a.m. Monday-Friday will be temporarily relocated to City Park pool.
   During the Mercer Park pool closure, the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center pool and City Park pool will run on the following schedules:

Monday-Friday
6:15-9 a.m. - Lap swim - All lanes
8-8:45 a.m. - Aquacise class - Two lanes
9-10 a.m. - Senior swim - Three lanes
9-10 a.m. - AFAP exercise class - Three lanes
10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Lap swim - All lanes
1-4:30 p.m. - Open swim - Five lanes, Lap swim - One lane
4:30-6:30 p.m. - Lap swim - All lanes
5:30-6:30 p.m. - Deep end aquacise - Deep end
6:30-8 p.m. - Open swim - All lanes
Saturday - No schedule changes
Sunday - Closed

City Park Pool
Monday-Friday
9-10 a.m. - Aquacise/Lap swim - All lanes
10 a.m.-1 p.m. - Adult lap swim - All lanes
1-3:30 p.m. - Open swim - All lanes
3:30-6:30 p.m. - City High practice - Three lanes
3:30-8 p.m. - Open swim - Five lanes and wings
Saturday and Sunday - No schedule changes
