Cedar Rapids Parks Recovering From Floods

CEDAR RAPIDS (CBS 2/FOX 28) - Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation continues to recover from the Floods of 2013.

On Wednesday, the dog park at Cheyenne Park reopened to the public, after much of the park was covered in flood water.  Crews had to remove logs and debris, and repair trails on the 13.8 acre park before dogs and owners could return.

Pavillions at Manhattan Park and Robins Lake remain closed for repair right now.  Manhattan Park should reopen sometime next week, but Parks Director Daniel Gibbons says Robins Lake still needs a lot of work before it can be used.
