Pausing to Remember the Flood

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Five years after the catastrophic flood, leaders in Cedar Rapids gathered downtown to mark the moment the Cedar River crested nearly 20 feet above flood stage in 2008.  Those flood waters destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses and damaged thousands of others.
Today, a moment of silent was held at the moment the river crested.  A bell was rung to mark the five years since the water's rise.
