Johnson Co. Lifts Evacuation Orders

IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Johnson County today lifted the mandatory evacuation that covered rural parts of the county.  That evacuation order was given when the Army Corps of Engineers was forced to increase the water flow from the dam upstream to keep the water from topping the spillway.
With the floodwater receding, officials were able to bring that water level back down.
Evacuation orders in Iowa City remain in effect, authorities hope to lift those sometime next week.
