Police Looking for Work Release Escapee

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS 2/Fox 28) -- Police are searching for an inmate who failed to return to the Larry Nelson Work Release Center in Cedar Rapids after working on Friday.

Bernard James Butler II, 23, has been on work release since April.  He was sentenced on August 9, 2010 to ten years for multiple offenses, including Second Degree Burglary, which took place in Linn and Johnson Counties.

Butler is described as a black male with black hair, brown eyes, 5'9" in height and weighing 169 pounds.  He also has tattoos on his back and right shoulder.

Anyone with information on Butler's whereabouts is asked to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department or Linn County Sheriff's Department.
