Toledo Woman Charged with Daughter-in-Law's Murder
TAMA, Iowa (AP) -- Authorities say an autopsy shows a woman found dead inside a Tama house died of stab wounds to her neck.
Police and Iowa agents are still investigating the slaying of 32-year-old Kerry O'Clair-Jefferson. Her body was found at the house on Wednesday afternoon. Tama police say she was not a resident but was staying with the people who live at the home.
O'Clair-Jefferson's mother-in-law, 57-year-old Ginger Jefferson, was taken into custody as a witness. No arrests or charges related to the case have been reported.
Tama is a central Iowa city of around 2,900 that sits about 20 miles east of Marshalltown.
