Law Leaving Hawkeyes

Updated: Wednesday, June 11 2014, 07:49 PM CDT
IOWA CITY, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) – University of Iowa defensive back, Nico Law is leaving the Hawkeye football program.

Head Coach Kirk Ferentz announced Law’s intention to transfer earlier on Wednesday, less than a week after he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by police in Iowa City after he was involved in a physical altercation outside of a local restaurant.

In his junior season, Law played in all 13 of the Hawkeye’s games, but only recorded four solo tackles and on assist. However, many experts expected Law to play a bigger role in his senior campaign.

Right now, there is no word on where Law plans to transfer to.
