CEDAR
RAPIDS, IOWA – The Kernels came back to defeat the Burlington Bees 3-2 in 11

out one in his lone inning of work.

Ryan
Walker spoiled the seventh for Burlington with a two-out single up the middle
that scored two. Michael Quesada doubled earlier in the frame and scored along
with teammate Logan Wade on Walker’s run-scoring single to make it a 2-2 score.

Ryan
Eades finished his 20th start of the year after seven full innings
on the mound. Eades surrendered two runs, both earned, on four hits with two
walks and three strikeouts.

tossed two shutout frames where allowed three hits and sent down five on
strikes to preserve the tie.

The

eighth. Carlson shut down the Kernels for no runs and five strikeouts over two
innings while allowing a single hit in relief.

Dallas
Gallant (1-0) took the mound for the Kernels in the tenth and hurled the final
two frames for Cedar Rapids. Gallant picked up his first win on the year on two
scoreless frames where he struck out five Bees.

Max
Murphy led off the 11th frame with his first hit as a Kernel and
