Updated: Friday, July 11 2014, 06:55 AM CDT
SILVIS, IL (CBS2/FOX28) - The PGA tour stopped in the Midwest on Thursday for the John Deere Classic and that means Zach Johnson got to hit the green again close to home - and he played well.
The Cedar Rapids native continued his dominance, shooting an eight-under 63.
After Thursday’s events he retired to the clubhouse tied for the lead.
Johnson says no matter where he plays, he's got to put his best foot forward.
There are still three days to go in the tournament and we'll keep you updated on his progress.
