U.S. Unemployment Falls to 6.6%

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- The Labor Department reports American employers added 113,000 jobs in January, sending the unemployment rate down one-tenth of a point to 6.6%. 
  Revised figures also reported tens of thousands of additional jobs added in November and December not previously counted.
   After adjusting for population controls, the numbers show the U.S. workforce gained nearly a half million workers.  That produced a slight rise in the employment to population ratio to 58.8%.
  3.6 million Americans have been unemployed for more than 27 weeks.  That figure is down by nearly a quarter-million from December.U.S. Unemployment Falls to 6.6%
