Jackson Co. Escapee In Custody

MAQUOKETA, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) – An escapee is in the
Maquoketa County Jail after he lead officers on chase in a stolen vehicle
Saturday night.

Just before 7 p.m., Maquoketa Police along with Jackson
County Sheriff Deputies received reports that 32-year-old Brandon Bodenhofer of
Baldwin was driving a stolen car in Maquoketa’s south side.

Officers report seeing Bodenhofer driving recklessly and
attempted to stop him before he drove off at a high rate of speed.

Bodenhofer would drive into a ditch 2 miles later and would
attempt to take off on foot before officers were able to arrest him.

Bodenhofer had a number of outstanding warrants out for his
arrest, including a felony warrant for escaping custody in June after he got
away from officer while being transported to the Jackson County Jail following
a court appearance.

Bodenhofer is now faces multiple felony charges.
