Child Pulled from Indian Creek in Critical Condition

UPDATE: Cedar Rapids Police confirm, the 5-year-old child pulled from Indian Creek Friday night has died.  No names have been released at this time, but could be released on Monday.  An autopsy is planned.


 


CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) - A child is in critical condition tonight after being pulled from the Cedar River. Cedar Rapids Police were called to the 300 block of 30th St. Dr. SE when the child went missing.The 5-year-old left the house without permission. Police were called after the parents searched the area.CRPD and CRFD searched the area.  They found the child in Indian creek, south of the residence.CRPD, CRFD and Area Ambulance initiated CPR and transported the child to a local hospital.  At this time the child’s condition is critical.
