For 30 years, 68-year old accountant John Slusher has used his time and talent to help others. Now retired, he continues to do taxes for low-income families and those who need assistance.  United Way Volunteer Coordinator Kayla Paulson says, "It's the piece of mind.  They do'nt have to spend the money and they know it's done right."
John says, "Some of them get alot of money and they deserve it.  when you see them, they're not walking around with alot of extra money in their pocket."
A reluctant CBS 2 Hero, John says he enjoys the time he spends helping others and encourages everyone to use their talents to help others.
Kayla says, "I don't know if John considers himself a hero, but the 419 people he helped last year think he's heroic."The Taxman
