CBS 2 Heroes - Foster Child Pajamas

Updated: Thursday, December 19 2013, 08:33 AM CST
When 12-year old Chloe Kepros heard that foster children sometimes have to leave their homes on a moment's notice, she wanted to help.  Hearing about a similar drive on the East Coast, Chloe organized a pajama drive.  She contacted Iowa Kidsnet to coordinate the drive and has since received dozens of pajamas for kids who need them.
The 6th grader says, "You realize how many of these kids don't have alot.  And I've always wanted to do something for kids around my age because I understand how much I have.
Ashley Kyne from Iowa Kidsnet, "We have alot of adults who say, 'I'm not ready to be a foster parent, but I wish I could support foster care in another way.' Chloe, as an 11-year old, has already found a way to do that."
If you'd like to donate pajamas or a journal (Chloe felt the kids needed a place to write down their feeings), you can drop off items at Four Oaks - The Bridge at 2100 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.CBS 2 Heroes - Foster Child Pajamas
