CBS 2 Hero: Royceann

Updated: Thursday, December 19 2013, 08:18 AM CST
When Zee and Tony Brown learned their son had been murdered in September of 2006, one of the first people to offer support, was a complete stranger.  Her name is Royceann Porter.  Those who know Royceann say random acts of kindness are a part of her daily life.  Those good deeds are now the cornerstone of a new organization run by Porter called the "Family to Family Partnership."  It matches struggling families with mentors who meet as often as once a week to set goals, and chart a path of progress.  The Browns, once strangers to Royceann, are now among her organization's strongest set of mentors.  This weeks CBS 2 Hero is living the phrase, "paying it forward," turning random acts of kindness into an organized mission.CBS 2 Hero: Royceann
